Fletcher Records First Sub-Par Round on Tour

            Sorrento, FL – Ed Fletcher shot the first round below par Monday (Mar. 7, 2011) to win the “Championship Flight” in the Senior Amateur Golf Tour of  North Central Florida golf tournament at RedTail Golf Club.  Fletcher shot a 70 while Tom Grant won the “A Flight” with an 82, as the “B Flight’s” lone competitor , John Hammack took it with a 99, and John Tayman won the “C Flight” with an 85.
            Fletcher and Hammack are residents of The Villages, FL.  Grant lives in Oviedo, FL, and Tayman is from Deltona, FL.
            Completing the “Championship Flight” at second place was Tom Gallagher with a 77, and Bill Foster with a 78 came in third.  Both are residents of The Villages, FL.   
            Rounding out the “A Flight” in second place was Mount Dora, FL, resident Larry Barousse with an 84, and third place was taken with an 85 by Frank Olive, who is from The Villages, FL.
            Joe Dunn, Ocala, Fl, scored a 98 to take second place in the “C Flight” and Mike Malloch of The Villages, FL, placed third with a 101.
            Closest-to-the-Pin prizes went to Gallagher, Foster and Dunn.
